until the end of the year i’m looking for submissions of your favorite tracks from 2009 and your favorite tracks of the last decade (2000-2009). the music i’m looking for should probably fit in 2-3 of these categories*. please also send me music that is freely downloadable and properly tagged.

any flavor of music made for contemplation; art music with pop tendencies, pop music with art tendencies

music that is performed and presented outside (clubs, galleries, online) of the traditional performance venues
*i’d like the music on this site to fit into a big tent (to me alt-classical is not a genre, but a description of a type of performance practice of the qualities above) so feel free to make the case for any music that might be.
